FUTURE WORLD: Where Art Meets Science is a digital playground created in collaboration with teamLab, an award-winning Japanese collective artist who is known for their innovative digital artworks.
All in all, it features 15 digital installations and is fully interactive. It is divided into 4 major categories – Nature, Town, Park, and Space.
“Inspire your imagination at Future World, the new permanent exhibition at ArtScience Museum. Explore a fully immersive 1500 square metre digital universe, where 15 spectacular art installations are brought to life and evolve in real-time through visitor presence and participation. Be amazed as this stunning interactive world responds to your behaviour, and changes according to your creative input!” – Marina Bay Sands
Crystal Universe
This is probably one of the most famous and the most “Instagrammed” of all the exhibitions. It is really pretty looking at the ever-changing lights combined with cool sound effects and it’s great for photos.
The crystal universe is made of 170,000 hanging LED lights all across the high ceiling room and the installation uses interactive 4D Vision technology which transports you visually from blank space into a surreal galaxy of lights. Here are some photos that I took and a video for more fun.
